Anyone can call themselves a paver. Dorking Paving and Landscapes can show you where it's written down. Nick has sixteen years in the trade and has put the company through the vetting that most one-man outfits never bother with — registered membership of the Guild of Master Craftsmen, membership of Interlay (the block-paving industry's own standards body), and approval under the Trading Standards Buy with Confidence scheme. Three separate organisations have checked the work before you ever have to.
That matters because paving is a job where the corners you cut don't show for a few years — until the patio starts to rock and the driveway sinks at the edges. We build on proper, consolidated foundations and lay to falls that drain, then back the hard landscaping with a six-year workmanship guarantee. Nick runs and works every job himself with his own team — Connor, Ben and Nick are the names clients thank in the reviews — so the person who quotes your job is the person laying the stone.

We excavate to depth, lay a properly consolidated sub-base and set edgings that hold — so patios and drives sit level and drain, rather than rocking and sinking a few winters on.

Site visit & itemised quote
Nick comes out, walks the plot and works out what's actually needed — levels, drainage, access, the ground underneath. Then we put a clear, itemised quote to it, so you can see exactly what's going in under the surface and where the money goes. The visit and the quote are free, with no obligation.

Groundwork & installation
Our own team carries the whole job — excavation and levels first, then a properly consolidated sub-base, kerbs and edgings, and finally the paving or stone laid to falls and jointed to last. Clients consistently note how tidy the site is kept and how considerate the team is with neighbours. We explain each stage before it happens.

Sign-off & six-year guarantee
We walk the finished job with you, deal with any snags on the spot, and hand over. All our hard-landscaping workmanship is covered by a six-year guarantee — so if something we built isn't right, you have it in writing that we'll put it right.

Being genuinely local means we know the clay and greensand ground, the sloping plots and the period properties of the Mole Valley. For larger paving and landscaping projects we'll happily travel further across Surrey.
